What is the Sovereign
Lord’s will? For us to keep His laws, ordinance, and precepts, live holy, and do that which is acceptable to Him. That
which is acceptable to Him is seeking after the things of His Kingdom, not the things of this earth. Fulfilling the great
commission that He has given to His disciples (follower’s of Him) ”Go into the world and preach the gospel to
every creature”. For in the gospel there is “power” to change men wicked hearts save them and deliver them
from eternal damnation. It is God’s will that none should perish but that all men come to repentance. Unfortunately
many wicked hearts will not be changed because many men and women love their sins and do not want to repent (turn from them)
and believe the gospel.
Jesus said in Matthew
7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many
there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there
be that find it.
The scriptures clearly
state that it is going to get worse before His Kingdom is ultimately established on the earth. And these times we are in is
only the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-15).
Legislating laws will
not change men wicked hearts. It is the gospel that will do it. God is Sovereign (has all power) and has a plan. Let’s
stick to the holy plan and preach the gospel. It hasn’t changed, but it will change the hearts of those who will repent
and believe.
God’s will is not for the born-again believer to turn again to the weak and beggarly elements of
this world trusting in men, politicians, and governments. His will is for us to continue to put our trust in Him and the “POWER
OF THE GOSPEL.”(Roman 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to
every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek).
For the day of the Lord will come as a thief in
the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Unfortunately there are
many people that “profess that they know God and are doing His will but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and
disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Matthew 7:17-21 Even
so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth
evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven.
Repent ye for the kingdom of Heaven
is at hand.
