Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Normally when a person or persons speak of church they are talking about an organization, a building, a meeting place, a denomination, or even some false religion.

In the above referenced scripture the Holy Spirit has inspired Luke to write about God’s HOLY CHURCH. Those called out ones, washed by the blood of the lamb, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost who have been saved by grace.

Not unregenerate and practicing sinners who have been attracted to the “church” through the so many programs offered i.e., sports ministry, ladies ministry, addiction programs ministry, Christian “worldly” counseling ministry, single ministry, gospel singing “shows”, men’s ministry, college and career ministry, family life centers, business awareness ministry, child care and development ministry etc. If these programs/ministries sounds like the world programs it is because they are generally fashioned after the ungodly anti-Christ world programs. Just like a lot of the “organized church” operations and government.

Unfortunately a lot of false converts have been added to the “organized church” roll today by man because of a mouth confession to the Lord Jesus Christ, community status, or job and business status ($$), and even given positions in these churches. When I was in the world years ago there was a saying for confessions such as these unregenerate souls make. We would say that they were talking out of their neck. The bible calls it lying.

In the inception of the Lord Jesus Christ Church in the book of Acts un-repented sinners were not allowed to be part of the body. In fact the Church (called-out ones) were living such a holy life through the Spirit of God and through reverence and fear of God that sinners were afraid to even assembly with the Church of the True and living God. Matter of fact God did not allow practicing sinners to be added to the church assembly (Acts 5:9-11 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And great fear came upon all the church, AND UPON AS MANY AS HEARD THESE THINGS).

The head of the church (organism), which is the body, is the Risen Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone adds to His church not programs, sensual singing, charismatic individuals, worldly programs, good works, large edifices or any brick and mortar building.

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father, which hath sent me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 7:13-15 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Lest we forget…It is the Lord that adds to His church daily such as should be saved.

1Peter 1:15-16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature in Jesus mighty name.
